It’s funny how you meet people as a Seattle Brand Photographer! I first worked with Mikayla during a personal branding session for Trend Event Rentals. Mary of Tred Event Rentals hired Mikayla to come style the set for her branding session, and I was blown away by Mikayla’s talent! The way that her eye was drawn to the smallest detail! She made each and every shot pop, it was so impressive!
Mikayla is a rising star in the world of styling, staging, and home organization. Her brand is all about bringing together traditional and gorgeous decor with little pops of color!
When Mikayla and I first started talking about her own branding session, we noticed that her website had a few images that didn’t really match her messaging. I cannot express enough, how important those visual cues are to your potential clients! For instance, she offers a power hour consultation with clients that allows them to brainstorm ideas on how to make their personal home decor work for them & their families. But the photo she was using for that page of her website didn’t have any people in it! It was just an image of a beautiful sofa. You can see how a family looking to reorganize might be confused about that imagery.
I knew immediately that we needed to showcase how fun, kind, and joyful Mikayla is to work with! Which were all of the things that I see in her and the foundations of her brand core values!

Our first step in working together was to comb through Mikayla’s website. This allowed us to create a clear vision for her personal branding session. Once we went through Mikayla’s website, and her personal branding questionnaire, we had an amazing vision as to where she wanted (and needed!) to go with her session. Now, it was time for me to scout the perfect location. I knew immediately that we needed to capture her brand in a real home. For her specific talents, we wouldn’t be able to fake it in a studio. It was all about showcasing Mikayla in her element! Which would give her potential clients a literal sense of what she was all about!
The end result was a super fun, bubbly, and welcoming branding gallery that matched Mikayla’s personality and personal brand identity perfectly!
