Before I made the switch to Seattle Personal Branding Photography, I spent my time photographing the most gorgeous weddings. Working behind the scenes with so many talented professionals really opened up my eyes to the amount of work that goes into a wedding day!
When Andrea of Soirée Smith asked me to do a branding session with her, I was so excited! Why? Because wedding planning is one of the most underrated jobs. Planning someone else’s wedding is so much more than just picking out pretty decorations. It’s knowing schematics of room layouts and sourcing vendors for every moment of the day. It’s creating in-depth timelines and then making sure the timeline runs smoothly on the day of the wedding. Wedding planners help couples pick out literally everything. And honestly, they hold the entire wedding day in the palm of their hands for 12-18 months ahead of the actual day!
For Andrea’s session, she had a very clear vision for what she wanted to document for her brand, in true planner fashion! We focused on making sure that she had brand imagery to show her clients exactly what goes into her job as their wedding planner! A lot of time in our session was spent going through her client workflow & highlighting the elements that make her client experience so unique. We also went through the motions of capturing the tiny details her future clients might not even know she handles! Literally, measuring for seating charts?! Hello! You bet we caught that ‘in action’!
Andrea is one of the most talented Wedding Planners that I’ve had the opportunity to photograph. The love she has for her job and her extreme attention to detail make her one of the best in the business. She has the most classic, elegant taste, and approaches her job with such grace & joy!
